Is this your first time traveling with your toddler and you don’t know what to bring? No problem. All new mom’s go through this. Most moms even try to pack their entire house the first time they bring their kid abroad. So to make things easier for you, I’ve made a checklist of what I always bring with me when I travel with my little toddler.
A stroller is probably the first thing on your list of things to bring. However, I don’t advise that you bring those bulky and heavy strollers because they’re hard to bring around. Instead, bring lightweight and foldable ones, so you won’t have a hard time.
Games and Toys
Never forget to bring a bunch of games and toys. Expect your toddler to be full of energy while on the plane because he or she is going to be really excited about being in a new environment. To keep that energy at bay, keep him or her entertained. Whenever I go traveling, I always make sure to bring coloring books and a play dough set as that’s my 3-year-old son’s favorite toys. I also bring a few books as well. I don’t let my 3-year-old play our iPad, but my 5-year-old spends time with it a bit.
Diapers and Baby Wipes
Diapers and baby wipes are a must when traveling with a toddler. Also make sure to bring some powder and diaper rash cream just in case. Also, a nice bottle of hand sanitizer is useful.
I always have a separate pouch for my son’s toiletries like his soap, shampoo, and dental kit. I also bring sunblock and swim diapers just in case we visit a beach.
Somehow, this helps my son fall asleep better when he’s in a different place. Just bring one of your kid’s favorite ones, so there’s at least a bit of familiarity.
See? It’s not as hard as you might think. Just make sure that you have a checklist that you follow diligently. This is my checklist and you can use it for a basis as yours too.
