I can afford to be a full time mom now because the business that me and my hubby set up is doing really well, so I can take a backseat for a while. However, things were a bit different when we had our first child. Both of us needed to work to make ends meet, and I had to take care of my eldest son at the same time. So what did I learn from that experience? Well, as a mom, you need to balance your work and motherhood. Here’s how I did it:
Communicate With Your Partner
This is by far the most important thing to do. When both of you are working, both of you have to set a sort of arrangement with each other so that you won’t lose your sanities.
Work Part Time
If you can’t work full time, work part time only. These days, there are a lot of part time home-based jobs that appeal to Motherhood. All you have to do is apply for these jobs and you can earn a lot of money alongside your hubby.
Know When you Take a Day Off
This is definitely a sin that a lot of moms do. A lot of them don’t know when to quit! Okay, I understand that your job is important to you, and the whole project might botch up if you’re not on the front line. However, you should know your own limits. You won’t be productive if you’re burned out anyway, so you might as well take a rest. Just know your body and know when you should take a break.
As working moms, we all have to make adjustments to cater to our child’s needs. I’ve been there, and it’s a big challenge. But if you know how to handle yourself, you should be fine.
